Does anyone have any idea when GW 2 is coming out, and how epic its going to be? I think GW 2 is going to kill WoW because of the event system and the storyline. The only video i've really seen about GW 2 is:This looks really EPIC! I also like the looting system and how you get your own loots (no ninja lootz)and this is another video that i've seen that looks pretty cool.PART 2I think these look really cool because of the fact that you can move around when attacking. So tell me what you guys think about when GW2 will come out and how awesome it will be.

I'm returning alliance side after a absence and see that curse has been taken over by twitch. What are people using for add ons these days????I'm still with Curse, now with the Twitch rebranded client on my Windows PC.I just continued on with the Windows PC client, which the Curse client transitioned into a Twitch client. Maybe the game add-ons can still be downloaded from the Curse website in a browser, as well?Amazon invested heavily into purchasing Twitch ($970 million), and it appears to me that they are continuing their investment, and then Twitch bought Curse and has leveraged the Curse client in support of their streaming business and community outside of web browsers, but I still use it for the game add-on functionality. It feels like a 'too much' app. I just want to keep my addons up to date, and this thing basically tries to walk your dog and fly airplanes as well as everything in between.I'm actually updating my addons a LOT less often now - because I'm not a fan of bloatware.I don't watch other people playing video games.

Guild Wars 2

I prefer playing them myself, so I've never been a fan of streams (I usually won't even watch 'boss guides' because they bore me and the people with them have horrible music tastes that they blare. And even if I do watch one I don't learn from watching, I learn from doing or studying - so written guides and trial/error).But.If I did watch streams, that would be all I would want in an app. I can't imagine having a copy of Netflix that also had chat popups and book sales and package delivery.

Guild Wars 2 Addons Curse

That's Amazon Prime. Except they at least keep each part of their service separated if I desire it. To watch the latest movie I don't have a popup about the guy delivering a package to my door right in the middle of the plot.Bloatware. Is not my thing. It feels like a 'too much' app. I just want to keep my addons up to date, and this thing basically tries to walk your dog and fly airplanes as well as everything in between.Yeah, I get the sense that Twitch and the client are key players in the Amazon - Google war for domination. The good news is that the Twitch client looks well supported and is not abandonware, the Twitch acquisition of Curse was not to absorb them and shut them down, IMO, but rather to add them to the Amazon/Twitch arsenal.I personally often have a Twitch stream up in a browser on the second monitor while MMO'ing on my main monitor.

I can't watch Netflix and enjoy both it and gaming, but a Twitch stream doesn't require much paying attention. As for the Twitch client, I start it, update my add-ons, and then 'exit' it with extreme prejudice out of the minimized tray so that it's not running in the background on my PC. The twitch app is the same as the old curse one as they literally just updated it and slowly added more and more crap to it. If you ever had curse voice client prior then honestly nothing even changed for you as you could have used the curse voice client to update your curse addons.

Twitch just made this the only client version so you would see the rest of the stuff they offer as well. I suggest using that as it is way easier to use and also makes updating them easier because it will tell you when one is out of date and have an update button next to it.As for the addons, i think if you are over 15 then you have a lot that are outdated and/or unnecessary. I bet we can knock MsKay's addons down if she let me help as most do not work nowadays anyways (i uninstalled about 20 of mine from Mists as the creators did not update them for Legion, not to mention a lot of the addons are now part of the ingame menus)Only ones i recommend using by default are:. DBM (helps with fights).

Guild

Postal (mail addon). Portal Instances (shows instance locations). CrapAway! (autosells trash loot). MoveAnything (lets you move anything on UI). Recount/Skada/Details (1 of the 3, meters).

Bagnon (makes all your bags 1 giant bag). OPIE (keybind rings, bind multiple things to 1 button). WeakAuras (customizable alert button). MasterPlan (follower addon for missions).

Auctioneer (auction addon)(anything else is just preference past these i believe or to make stuff easier) 11 addons are listed. I tend to run a lot of addons, but I tend to dabble in a lot of stuff. I have a chunk for auction managing (gotsta get the goldz somehow!), pet battles, achievements, raids/raid leading, and general quality of life. I won't list the mess hereWoW has a ton of helpful people.

If there is something in game that is driving you nuts or is clunky, ask what addon folks like to make it better. My biggest quality of life addon is by far ElvUI. They're my heroes. Here's a couple of screenshots of my raid UI.

It's by far the busiest setup. I've still got a few things overlapping I haven't bothered to fix yet (or disable cuz its not needed in raids), but you get the idea.
